Viewing a project
SECURITY To view projects in the Client Portal, your security level must include Projects access, or you must be a client team member on the project
NAVIGATION > Projects > My Projects > click on a project
Projects open to the project summary page. On the left, you'll see the project menu. Clicking on the links will open pages that display information about the project.
About...
On the summary page, you'll get a high-level project overview.
Also on this page, you can email the entire project team using the Email Project Team Internal and Client Team Members associated with a Project. A user does not have to be assigned a task to be a team member. link at the top of the page. Refer to Emailing the project team.
The project schedule shows you an outline of the project, including its phases and all the issues and tasks that are associated with it.
You can click on a task title to view the details and to add notes to the task. Refer to Working with your open tasks.
The project calendar lists events that our project team members have added to the project. This could include meetings, webinars, days off, etc.
NOTE Only our staff members can add events to the projects calendar, and this calendar does not integrate with other calendars.
To print the details of a particular event, do the following:
- Click the event you would like to print. The details will appear in the bottom frame of the page.
- Click Print.
The Team page lists resources assigned to a project with organization Your Client Portal instance may be configured to use one fo the following terms instead: Account, Business Unit, Client, Company, Customer, Site. name and contact information for each resource.
Select a resource's email address to begin drafting an email to the person.
Project A group of related tasks, events, documents and notes that have a common objective or deliverable. Projects are also often characterized by a deadline and a budget. notes are used to communicate status, progress, and other issues with project team members. They keep all communications in one convenient place that all team members can access. You will also be able to open any attachments that we have added to a note, but you will not be able to add your own attachments through Client Portal A branded web portal through which you and your service providers can collaborate on tickets and projects..
To add a project note, do the following:
- On the Project Notes page, click New Project Note A way of tracking additional information associated with an Autotask entity. at the top of the page to open the New Project Note window:
- Enter a subject and the text of the note.
- To notify all active project team members, select the notification check box.
- Click Save and Close.
A project issue is a task or problem that arises after the original project schedule is developed. It can be added to the project by you or the service provider.
When you add an issue through the Client Portal, it will appear in the project schedule as well as on the Issues page. You can open it from either location. Refer to Adding a project issue.
SECURITY Client Portal Manager or Taskfire security level
Project charges track project-related charges for items other than labor. You may be billed for these charges as part of your project billing. Examples of project charges are hardware and software charges, and incidentals such as delivery charges. Change orders for project tasks will also appear on the Charges View.
Click Print if you would like to print the list of charges.
