Logging in

On the URL you received in your Welcome email, you can log in to the Client Portal A branded web portal through which you and your service providers can collaborate on tickets and projects. using one of three methods:

Log in with your Client Portal user account

The default method for logging into the Client Portal is using your Client Portal user account (the User Name and Password you created yourself using the link in the Welcome email).

  1. Enter your User Name and click Continue.
  2. Enter your Password and click Continue.
  3. If two-factor authentication was made required by your service provider or your Client Portal Manager, the Two-factor Authentication Setup page will appear.
  4. Scan the QR code using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, then enter the numerical code that was generated.
  5. Click Enable 2FA. If the validation is successful, a confirmation message will appear.
  6. Click Continue to open your Home page.

Select Remember My User Name to have Client Portal automatically populate this field when you access the login page.

Log in using your Google or Microsoft account

If you have an account with Google or Microsoft, and the email address associated with the account is the Primary Email Address in your service provider's Autotask application, you may be able to log in with your Google or Microsoft account if your service provider has enabled this feature.

IMPORTANT  2FA is not enforced!

The first time you sign in this way, you need to authorize the Autotask Client Portal to use your account:

  • If you authenticate successfully, and we find only one matching user account, the Client Portal landing page will open.
  • If we find multiple matching user accounts with the same primary email address, you must select one to use.
  • If no account matched, you will be brought back to the login page and must log in with your Client Portal user account.

Log in from your Identity Provider dashboard

If your organization Your Client Portal instance may be configured to use one fo the following terms instead: Account, Business Unit, Client, Company, Customer, Site. uses an Identity Provider (IdP) such as Okta and your Client Portal has been configured to allow Single Sign-On, you will either see the Login with Identity Provider option on this page, or the login page will be hidden and you must always log in from your IdP dashboard.

Forgotten password

If you have forgotten the password of your Client Portal user account, enter your user name and click I forgot my password. You will receive an email with a link to a URL where you can reset your password. The link will be valid for one hour.

You will be redirected to the Change Password page. Enter your User Name, Password, and Confirm Password value, then click Change Password to change your password.

The password must meet the following requirements:

  • At least eight characters long
  • Must use at least three of the following: lowercase, uppercase, numbers, symbols
  • Cannot contain the user name or the word "password."
  • Cannot be the same as your last three passwords
  • Cannot contain any single spaces or single quotes (')

If you do not know your user name, contact your service provider.
