Supported browsers

The Client Portal A branded web portal through which you and your service providers can collaborate on tickets and projects. is browser-independent and currently supports both 32-bit and 64-bit browsers. You can access all modules by using Microsoft Edge 80.x and up, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari 8.x and 9.x.

Features not supported in your browser will either be hidden or not available.

Allowing pop-up windows in your browser

To ensure correct functionality of the Client Portal, Datto recommends enabling pop-up windows for Autotask (the parent application) in your browser.

To allow Autotask pop-up windows in Edge, do the following:

  1. Launch Microsoft Edge and click the Settings and more icon in the upper-right corner.
  2. Scroll down and select Settings.
  3. Enter Pop-ups in the Settings search box, or select Cookies and site permissions > All permissions > Pop-ups and redirects.
  4. Open the Pop-ups and redirects page.
  5. In the Allow section, click Add. The Add a site dialog box opens.
  6. Enter the following site: [*.]autotask.net and click Add.

To allow Autotask pop-up windows in Chrome, do the following:

  1. Click the Customize and control Google Chrome icon in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
  2. Enter Pop-ups in the Settings search box, or select Privacy and security > Site Settings.
  3. Scroll down and select Pop-ups and redirects.
  4. In the Allow section, click Add. The Add a site dialog box opens.
  5. Enter the following site: [*.]autotask.net and click Add.

In Safari for Mac OS, you manage pop-up windows for websites via Safari > Preferences > under "websites" > Pop-up-windows.

To allow Autotask pop-up windows in Firefox, do the following:

  1. Open Firefox, then go to Autotask and log in.
  2. In Firefox's URL bar, click on the Page actions icon and select Copy Link.
  3. Click the Firefox menu icon.
  4. Select Options from the menu.
  5. Enter Pop-up in the Find in Options search box, or select Privacy & Security from the left-side menu and then scroll down to Permissions.
  6. Under Permissions, ensure the Block A prepaid number of service hours to be used during a specified time period under the terms of a block hour contract. pop-up windows check box is selected, then click the adjacent Exceptions button.
  7. Right-click in the Address of web site: field, choose Paste from the drop-down menu, then click the Allow button. Your zone for Autotask will be added to the list of Allowed Sites.

NOTE   If Firefox displays the check box for Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs in an Autotask message pop-up window, do not select the check box. If you select the check box you will not see the message in the future, and it may contain important content.
